Metropolitan Occupational Therapy

Goal-oriented program under physical therapist supervision including cardiovascular conditioning, job task simulation, individualized therapeutic exercise, and education on body mechanics and work safety over 4–8 weeks.

Hands-on treatment using instruments to mobilize soft tissue and address musculoskeletal restrictions.

Rehabilitation exercises and techniques to improve balance and vestibular function.

Specialized taping technique for knee and other joint stabilization.

Application of elastic therapeutic tape to support muscles and joints without restricting range of motion.

Targeted rehabilitation program for cervical and lumbar spine injuries.

Training on body mechanics and workplace ergonomics to prevent injury and improve function.

Extensive therapy for flexor/extensor tendon injuries, traumatic crush injuries and amputation, complex fractures/dislocations, and peripheral nerve compression/injuries provided by a Certified Hand Therapist.

Detailed exam and evaluation measuring an injured worker’s current level of functioning to inform return-to-work decisions, disability determinations, or rehabilitation planning.

Includes therapeutic exercise using equipment such as treadmills, stationary bicycles, Cybex, Total Gym, universal gym, stair steppers, and the BTE Primus task simulator.

Standard modalities including ultrasound, electric stimulation, moist heat/cold packs, paraffin, phonophoresis, and T.E.N.S.

Authorization of services, coordination with physicians, employers, insurance companies and attorneys, and billing support.

Spanish and English bilingual clinical and administrative staff.
